Both SaskCanola and the Saskatchewan Pulse Growers are holding their annual meetings next week.
The mandatory, one per cent, non-refundable levy paid by pulse growers will be on the agenda at their meeting.
Unlike other crops such as wheat, barley, canola, flax and mustard, farmers do not have the option of requesting a refund of their pulse levy.
SaskCanola will update producers on a topic discussed at last year’s annual general meeting.
Component pricing is based on oil content higher levels would receive a premium and lower levels would be penalized.
Both meetings will be held next Monday in Saskatoon at T-C-U Place
