I could not sleep last night. Could have been the beginning of the final season of Downton Abbey!
Could have been the whisky, might have been the gin. NO, no, no … that’s a song!
Each new year, people make a statement and try to stick with it. Call them resolutions. I say, nope, how about we set goals.
A goal is attainable. Benchmarks put into place to chart a definate progress. I think I like that.
Before the New Year I did 2 days with out indulging in candy! Worked pretty well.
January and into February used to be non-drinking months, however I just naturally became bored with going to the bar and all that follows. Not a challenge!
There’s the old stand-by of eating better (healthy) and exercise. Step 1. I have the gym membership. Step 2. Use It!!
This year’s goal is more work related or relationship driven. Perhaps a combination of both.
Forge through with new ideas and energy. Do not be dragged into non-productive gossip, do not be the person adding fuel to the fire.
Personal paths are always going to be different. What is the reason to feel jealous, envious, angry or betrayed. Be honest! Be creative! Be humble. Be brave in your thoughts and actions.
Learn to think before you speak and hope that you can lead and not follow.
Good Grief! Sounds sanctimonious, doesn’t it.
I guess what I mean is; Be direct, be honest, don’t get dragged into circumstances that do not reflect your personal mission statement or values. Keep your sunny side prevalent. Being forward is not a bad thing. It does let people know who you are!
Sounds like it could be a work in progress.
