Okay so last year I had made a New Years Resolution to track the amount of books I read over the course of one year. For no reason really other than pure random curiosity. So with out further ado, I read over the course of one year 50 books. Gotta admit I’m rather proud of that.
I will admit that I’m a little surprised by the amount. I thought that I both read more and less than that over the course of a year. I don’t know how often or if I’ve ever actually said it but I love to read. It’s probably the thing I spend money on the most besides video games and movies. Too much money actually if you were to ask certain people but I just love to read.
I’ll also be a little high on my self and say I could’ve read more if I hadn’t read Lord of The Rings. Seriously I love that book but it’s getting to the point it’s a giant buzzkill. My god the walking in that book. I know it’s a book but honestly so much walking and talking it feels like I’m the one who merely walked into Mordor. Best book of last year? The Martian. Highly recommend that one.
You might be wondering now, what do I read? Well I read fantasy and science fiction more than anything but I’ll branch out here and there for some different stuff every once in a while. That’s primarily my interests with books and actually a lot of stuff that forms my hobbies. Fantasy and Science Fiction games and movies and tv shows overwhelmingly lead my collection.
Also when I say I read, I’m talking the physical books. Despite a healthy love for all things dealing with fancy technology I prefer the old school method of paper. Something about just being able to hold the thing and possibly not having to worry about save space and most importantly battery. Can’t quite picture making it to the the end and the battery dying towards the end. I imagine it’d be a great way to say okay enough for now but still.
