Regina-based Viterra has announced a supply and marketing agreement with Pacific Coast Canola.
The company will crush canola for Viterra at Pacific Coast’s plant in Warden, Washington.
In addition, an affiliate of Viterra has increased ownership in Pacific Coast to 50 per-cent.
Viterra president Kyle Jeworski says the agreement will see his company expand processing capacity and complement the recent purchase of a grain facility in Quebec.
The plant in Washington is largest expeller press canola processing facililty in North America with the capacity of 11 hundred tons per day.
It produces a variety of healthy canola oils, including non-gmo, halal and kosher certified.
As well, the plant produces meal products for dairy cattle and other livestock markets.
