The cattle industry in Saskatchewan is hoping to see improved trade with Ukraine.
Ukraine has announced another 15 Canadian meat processing plants are eligible to export to the country, now totaling 27.
Ryder Lee is the CEO of the Saskatchewan Cattlemen’s association.
He says any expanded trade is welcome but the big three Canadian beef plants have not yet been approved to export to Ukraine.
Canadian industry estimates access to the Ukrainian market for Canadian beef and pork to be worth up to 50 million dollars a year.
