I know that this winter has not been the ideal season for outdoor enthusiasts or for those in the business of selling product to those who like to get outdoors and have some fun, but I’m happy that this weather is at least conducive to getting around easily. Its’ funny how road conditions will determine my travel, even getting from point A to point B in the city! What a wuss!
Last week I had to head out east to see my dentist for a cleaning. I don’t really like hitting the east end of the city, especially when the travel conditions are less than favorable. There’s something about driving 10 kms/hr in two feet of snow with traffic backed up for a block that turns me off of any travel, except to make my way home after work.
Well, after my appointment last week I got a call from my dentist. He was requesting my presence back at the office. Oh, lucky me! A repeat performance! He took some X-rays last week before my cleaning and found a small cavity that he wanted me to get fixed up before my wife and I make our way to Jamaica for our Flea Market trip on the 25th.
When I asked the receptionist if the appointment was necessary before our trip, I was told no, it could wait. Then I had a peek out the front window and thought to myself, “if I have to head out east again, I might as well go while it’s easy getting out there.” I was trying to find any excuse not to go, but I decided to get it done and out of the way.
So, tomorrow morning after work I’ll make my way to the eastern section of our beautiful city and open wide for my dentist.
I just checked the forecast. Don’t worry, I’ll be fine.
