The Regina Pats continued the U.S. Divison road trip on Tuesday in Everett against the Silvertips. The Pats were looking to build on a 7-2 win over Spokane on Saturday. The Silvertips beat the Chiefs on Sunday 3-1 and had won 5 of their last 6 games. Cole Sanford made his Pats debut on Tuesday while Tyler Brown missed one last game with an upper body injury and Jordan Hollett got the start in goal again. The Silvertips boasted the best goals against the in the entire WHL by a huge margin. Everett had given up just 85 goals on the season, the next best team was the Seattle Thunderbirds at 114. Here are the lineups for the contest with the starters highlighted.

In the first period the Silvertips cashed in on an early powerplay at 4:06. Cole MacDonald fired from the left circle and beat Hollett glove side for his 6th from Noah Juulsen and Remi Laurencelle and it was 1-0. The Tips then went ahead 2-0 when Laurencelle buried a rebound for his 24th with assists to Noah Juulsen and Carson Stadnyk. The Pats got 5 powerplays in the period including over a minute up 5 on 3 but Everett did an incredible job blocking shots and Mario Petit made some nice saves and the Silvertips took the 2-0 lead to the break. The Pats were outshot 9-8 in the period but probably put 20 plus shots towards the net that didn’t get through.
In the second the Pats powerplay got them on the board. Jake Leschyshyn jumped on a loose puck after a block and he scored his 6th at 11:11 with assists to Chase Harrison and Jared Freadrich and it was a 2-1 game. It stayed that way until the final minute when Everett made it 3-1. Carson Stadnyk took a cross ice pass in the let circle and Jordan Hollett lost his edge and couldn’t get over to make the save. Stadnyk scores his 10th from Noah Juulsen and Remi Laurencelle. That was the score after 2, the Silvertips outshot the Pats 10-4 in the period and led 19-13 overall.
In the third the Pats got goals from Adam Brooks at 9:02, his 24th and then again at 14:24 he scored his 25th to tie the game 3-3 and force overtime. The shots on goal were 7-7 in the period and Everett led overall 26-20.
The Pats got a powerplay with 19.3 seconds left and called their timeout. With 2.3 seconds left Cole Sanford ripped a shot into the top corner from the left circle for his 1st as a Pat and 22nd of the year from Connor Hobbs and Adam Brooks at 4:57 and the Pats took the 4-3 victory. Regina outshot Everett 3-0 in OT but trailed overall 26-23.
The Pats powerplay was 2 for 7 in the game and the penalty kill went 5 for 6.
The third star of the game went to the Silvertips Carson Stadnyk who had a goal and an assist. The second star to the Pats Adam Brooks who had two goals and an assist and now leads the WHL in points. The first star went to the Silvertips Remi Laurencelle who had a goal and two helpers.
The Pats are back in action Wednesday night in Portland against the Winterhawks with a 9 o’clock puck drop Regina time on 620 CKRM.
