Both mustard the crop and mustard the condiment are getting special treatment this month, with an online manual being made available for farmers and a new cookbook coming out for family cooks.
The production manual is an update that’s been produced with information compiled by specialists within the Saskatchewan Ministry of Agriculture.
Sask Mustard Executive director Kevin Hursh says it’s been decades since the manual was last revised, and in that time many farming practices have changed.
Meanwhile, Sask Mustard is celebrating a new cookbook called Mustard Makeovers and More.
It features 100 recipes that use the yellow staple.
