Some unusually mild weather is making its way into Saskatchewan Friday.
Temperatures rose overnight in southern Saskatchewan with areas like Maple Creek inching up to plus 6.
Environment Canada‘s Mark Melsness says Regina can expect a temperature near zero.
It may even sneak above zero Saturday.
But Melsness says it’s the gusty winds which will likely make it not quite as nice.
Southeast winds on Friday will be gusting to 60 km an hour.
On Saturday, northwest winds will pick up.
Because of this change in temperature and the higher winds, motorists are advised to check with Highway Hotline before travelling.
It’s usually around minus 10 or colder at the time of the year.
