The province is bringing everyone up to date on what is happening in La Loche as the community continues to recover from Friday’s shooting, which left four people killed with another seven wounded.
Duane McKay, the province’s Commissioner of Emergency Management, says the province continues to give people in the community some help in many different areas as they try to develop a form of normalcy again.
“Over the next few days we will continue to increase our level of support as we receive feedback from the individuals and community leaders in La Loche.”
The school has been closed since the shooting, but Donna Johnson with the Ministry of Education says they’re looking at a timeline for resuming classes.
“The Northern Lights School Division will be meeting with parents and other community members today and tomorrow to hear what the parents want.”
