Saskatoon’s Steve Laycock has captured the “A” event at the Sask-Tel Tankard in Kindersley and is now two wins away from repeating as provincial mens curling champion.
Laycock defeated Regina’s Randy Bryden 5-3 Friday afternoon in the “A” final to reserve the first of four playoff spots available.
Laycock will meet either Josh Heidt of Kerrobert or Regina’s Scott Bitz in the 1 vs 2 game. Bitz defeated Bryden 8-6 Friday night in 11 ends while Heidt also needed 11 ends to beat Bruce Korte 9-8.
