The provincial government is making it easier for Saskatchewan drivers to get their vehicle registration certificates.
Effective immediately, you can print that registration off on your own computer on white paper instead of the special green card stock paper that is in use now.
Kelly Brinkworth with SGI says not only does this make it more convenient for you, but it saves them over a half million dollars in paper and postage costs.
Brinkworth adds security is a big reason behind this move as well as your address will no longer be on the registration certificate.
A recent survey found 61 percent of people leave their registration in their vehicle, and if it gets stolen, it allows the thief to find out where you live and perhaps access your garage if you have a garage door opener.
