Regina will have a new City Manager beginning March 1.
Chris Holden, former Communications Director will be taking over duties for interim City Manager, Ed Archer.
Holden has been working for the City of Regina since he was 16 years old, when he took a position as a life guard.
Since then he’s worked in several different positions with the City.
He says his life has been dedicated to making Regina a great place to live.
“You get to see the results of your work in the community. You really do get a sense of accomplishment in making Regina a better place for all of us.”
Holden is set to sign a five year contract and provide leadership to more than 2,400 permanent City employees.
The position will be approved at the next City Council Meeting.
