The Saskatchewan Roughriders have dipped into the free agency pool and added a fourth player on the second day of CFL free agency.
The team has inked former Toronto linebacker Greg Jones.
Last season the 27-year-old Michigan State product registered a team leading 98 defensive tackles and 17 special teams tackles starting all 18 regular season games on his way to being named a 2015 East Division All-Star.
Prior to arriving in the CFL Jones spent two seasons in the NFL playing six games with the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2012. He also played 16 regular season games – with five starts – and four playoff games with the 2011 Super Bowl champion New York Giants.
Shortly after announcing the signing of Jones, the Riders announced linebacker Jake Doughty and punter Ray Early have been released.
