First Nations musicians have done a professional recording of a song meant to help the Saskatchewan town of La Loche.
A rendition of the song “Lean on Me” by people involved in Voices of the North went viral after four people were killed in the town on January 22nd.
Sheryl Kimbley and others in the group did a recording yesterday a St. Albans Church in Prince Albert.
About 40 to 50 people came out, in addition to a six-person production crew.
Kimbley says the project is meant to keep the needs of La Loche in mind for years to come.
