The Regina Police Service’s SWAT Team had to be called out as part of a drug trafficking investigation on Tuesday night.
Police arrested and charged a 25-year old Regina man with weapons and drug offenses after a high-risk search warrant was executed in the 1500 block of Cameron Street.
As part of the ongoing investigation into drug trafficking in Regina, the SWAT and Crisis Negotiator teams were used in the search warrant.
The warrant was executed without incident and a number of people at the residence were taken into custody to determine whether or not they were involved in any criminal activity.
During the search police seized two firearms, ammunition and drugs.
25-year old Justin D. Martineau is facing three charges of possession of a firearm, and possession of scheduled substance.
He made his first appearance in Provincial Court on February 17.
