The year, 2009 and it was a road trip full of friends. Our destination was Commonwealth Stadiums to see AC/DC!
And how did I end up on the floor of the stadium sitting next to the guy pictured above (Kelsey Cross)? Well, it has everything to do with a best friend!
Through our lives we will have many. Grade School. High School. University and through our careers!
Boys and girls; men and women we can be friends without having any romantic links. I am very lucky to have a number of guys as friends.
I can fill this page up with people that are close friends, I love ’em all.
We have gone through lots of things together, the good, the bad and the ugly! Friendship endures and makes you stronger.
Troy Schaab and I worked together for a number of years. Troy became a successful business owner and I continued on my broadcasting path. Troy’s path was a bit more advanced then mine as he became the owner operator of two radio stations. We went from a hosting relationship to that of employer / employee.
And just recently Troy has sold his two stations. I’m not sure what is on the horizon for him, but I do know that we will always have a bond of supporting each other and our families. It is what friends do.
Troy and his wife, Sonia, I am confident, will be life long friends.
This particular day was awesome. We loaded up in a stretch limo, jammed to the roof with friends and rocked our way to the stadium.
So cheers to Troy and Sonia. And no, I haven’t forgotten about all those other best friends!
There are so many people I know (non-family) that make a difference to me. Best friends – such a hard thing to nail down. Valued friends each and everyone.
