Saskatchewan Finance Minister Kevin Doherty says he’s interested to see what the federal government provides to the province after announcing it is now projecting a deficit of at least 18-billion dollars.
Doherty says he’s confident that despite the bad news, there will be funding headed to Saskatchewan through the Building Canada Fund.
He also says a deficit makes sense considering the drop-off in the country’s energy sector.
Saskatchewan will be releasing its third quarter report next Monday. (CJWW)
