No matter which way you slice it the headline for this weekend is the phenomenal weather being experienced in southern Saskatchewan.
Temperatures are expected to reach 6 degrees today and on Sunday. A more than 10 degree swing on the mercury from the average high of minus 4.2.
The record for today was set in 1988 when the thermometer climbed all the way to 11.3 degrees.
To put it all in perspective let’s consider that on February 27th, in 1962 it was -39 degrees.
Last year we dipped from a high of -18 degrees to -32.
