Not unlike many Monday mornings at 3 A.M., the number of vehicles on the road this morning was minimal. I counted four vehicles. There were three in the drive-thru at McDonald’s, making a total of 7 vehicles that I saw on my drive in to work today. Friday mornings, on the other hand, are the busiest of the week. It seems the nighthawks are out in full force and ready for the weekend! If I didn’t have to be up to come in to work, you’d never catch me out joy riding in the wee hours of the day. Now, when I was younger…
My wife’s cousin is in Vegas celebrating her birthday, which this year, falls on the correct day, Feb. 29th. Being a Leap Year baby, she has her choice of celebrating on Feb. 28th or March 1st for three years before getting a chance to celebrate her real birthday. Having a birthday every four years seems a little foreign to me. Happy Birthday Bonnie! We’ll do it again in 2020!
Saturday afternoon was “scoopin’ up the poopin'” day at the Lewis household. My wife took our granddaughters to their dance class and I decided I’d get out to the backyard with a couple of plastic bags and get to work. It’s not easy scooping that stuff up. Although it’s been warm, the majority of that stuff is still encased in some frozen snow, so when I’m scooping, I’m really only getting the top layer. It wasn’t pretty, but I grabbed what I could and will wait until some more warm weather hits. Looks like a cooler one today, but with double digit temperatures expected next week, I might finally be able to get the whole yard finished!
That is one crappy job, pun intended!
