The Regina Police Service will be conducting regular training for its Special Weapons and Tactics Team (SWAT) on Wednesday, March 16.
The team will be practicing on the 700 block of Garnet Street from about 5:00 p.m. until 12:00 a.m., with permission from the property owner.
Anyone in the area will notice police vehicles, which might include a large Tactical Armoured Vehicle, or police members in SWAT uniforms.
Police say all of the necessary safety checks have been performed on the equipment and there is no live ammunition involved in the training.
There should be no other disruption to the usual everyday activity and traffic flow in the area.
