The LPGA Canadian Pacific Women’s Open could be coming to Regina in 2018.
The city’s executive committee will discuss the bid for the tournament which would cost Regina 100 thousand dollars. 50 thousand in city services such as buses and advertising and the other half in cash.
Mayor Michael Fougere says this tournament is a great way to show off our city.
The tournament’s economic impact surpassed eight million dollars from 2006-2013.
If the proposed bid gets the green light at executive committee today, it will go to City Council on March 29th.
