A fatal house fire in Regina early Saturday morning will be investigated by the Office of the Chief Coroner, Regina Fire and Protective Services and the Regina Police
On March 19, at approximately 12:30 am Police were dispatched to a residence on the 1300 block of Montague Street for a report of a fire.
Regina Fire and Protective Services and EMS were also dispatched to the scene.
RFPS extinguished the fire and EMS attended to a female who was burned and confirmed dead.
The incident is the subject of a combined agency investigation; The Office of the Chief Coroner will investigate the circumstances surrounding the death of the female. .
Regina Fire and Protective Services will investigate to determine the cause and origin of the fire.
Police will investigate any possible criminal aspect to this case.
The deceased’s next-of-kin has been notified.
The name will not be released at this time.
