NDP leader Cam Broten plans to hit the road over the next few days as the Saskatchewan election campaign begins to hit a furious pace.
Broten says he will hit 16 constituencies Friday, mostly in the central regions, including Saskatoon and Prince Albert.
He says he will then do the same in Regina and Moose Jaw Saturday.
Saskatchewan Leader Brad Wall intends to focus his energy in Regina Friday.
He will be making two announcements in the Queen City.
In the meantime, on the campaign trail Thursday, the NDP continued to jab at Premier Brad Wall’s refusal to release his budget while the Saskatchewan Party leader continued to warn voters about a return to the way things used to be when the NDP was in power.
Both Wall and NDP Leader Cam Broten were in Saskatoon on Thursday, speaking to supporters.
Wall told his crowd the Saskatchewan Party has done a lot to grow the province since it took power in 2007 and called the attitude of the NDP at the time “defeatist.”
Broten, meanwhile, told a town hall meeting that Wall’s refusal to release the budget before the election is “troubling.”
He said the Saskatchewan Party will continue with its wasteful ways with out-of-province consultants, the Lean program and luxury jets, all while slashing health care and education.
The election will take place Monday.
Advance polling continues Friday and Saturday.
