Police in Saskatchewan say an escaped murder suspect wanted on a Canada-wide warrant should be considered armed and dangerous and may be with his girlfriend.
They say 27-year-old Braidy Vermette may be in the company of Tristen Smith, a brunette who recently dyed her hair blond, and that both have neck tattoos with each other’s names.
He was being taken from the Prince Albert Provincial Correctional Centre to a hospital for a self-inflicted injury last week when two masked men used bear spray to overcome his unarmed guards.
Vermette was in remand waiting to appear in court on a first-degree murder charge when he escaped. (The Canadian Press)
