The City of Regina has released its results of property bylaw enforcements for 2015.
Property concerns typically are related to resident behaviour, property maintenance, front-yard and increased on-street parking, and fire and safety concerns.
Property bylaw investigations and enforcements from 2015:
· Fire Bylaw, National Fire Code of Canada – Fire inspectors conducted 336 fire investigations and 763 fire code inspections.
· Building Bylaw, National Building Code of Canada – A total of 647 Orders to Comply were issued for building without a permit, deviation from approved plans, occupying without a permit, etc.
· Zoning Bylaw (land use, front yard parking) – There were 53 investigations conducted related to suspected illegal suite and rooming house complaints. There were 391 front-yard parking investigations.
· Property Maintenance Bylaw (messy yards, derelict buildings) – A total of 2,606 property maintenance investigations were conducted.
