Over a hundred players are in Vero Beach, Florida for the Roughriders’ annual spring minicamp however most of the attention is on quarterback Darian Durant. The 11-year veteran is coming back from an Achilles injury which ended his season in Week 1 last year but Rider coach Chris Jones says he looks to be in top form.
As for Durant, he says he felt good about his performance and is looking forward to progressing each and every day while learning a new system.
There are a handful of CFL vets in the Rider minicamp including quarterback Dan Lefevour and running back Chevon Walker.
The camp will continue tomorrow as Saskatchewan’s #1 sports show–the Sportscage–broadcasts live from Vero Beach starting at 4 o’clock.
