$205,178 worth of funding was awarded to Dr. Carrie Bourassa, a Professor of Indigenous Health Studies at the First Nations University of Canada.
The money will be go to develop the Cultural Safety Evaluation, Training and Research Laboratory.
Goodale says the research done at Saskatchewan universities ultimately strengthens the economy.
“It’s good for the brain power of our province and our country, which is what will propel us to a bigger and more successful economy in the future.”
The University of Regina also received almost $49,980 in funding for specialized particle physics equipment.
