The city’s second in command when it comes to administration has been let go with no plans to replace him.
Brent Sjoberg has been relieved of his duties as deputy city manager and chief operations officer effective immediately with his role not being filled.
Sjoberg was heavily involved with the new Mosaic Stadium and wastewater treatment projects, but city manager Chris Holden says it is his thought that he needs a stronger team working for him thus this move is being made.
Sjoberg, who was making over a quarter-million dollars in his position, will see his duties get shuffled to other city officials.
He had been with the city in his role since 2007
