Monday afternoon I got a chance to do something that I hadn’t done in quite a while. I rolled the lawn mower out of the shed and gave the lawn it’s first cut of the year! It took a couple pumps on the primer and a few tugs on the rope, but my lawn mower came to life in the warm afternoon sun. It was great. I wish I enjoyed cutting the lawn at the end of summer as much as I do at the start of spring. The dog took up his usual spot on the deck supervising the job. Thank Max. I couldn’t have done it without you!
Last night my wife and I hit Home Depot to look for some things for our spring home project. We are redoing our bathroom and my wife had her list of things she wants all made up. I just followed her around, like I do every other time we go shopping. That’s why “we” don’t go shopping together very often. After we got home my friend came over and took some measurements and decided exactly what he would need for the transformation. When I say “we” are doing the renovations, it’s actually my friend who’ll be doing it. I’ll be in charge of the painting. It’s funny. My wife is charge of everything, yet she won’t be doing any of the work. How can I get a job like that?
Today is McHappy Day at McDonald’s. Today, across the country, McDonald’s will be donating $1 from every Big Mac, Happy Meal, and McCafe beverage sold, with all profits going to the Ronald McDonald Houses and local children’s charities. I will be at the Dewdney and Albert St. location from 11-12. Drop by, say hi, and help a great cause! Over the past 22 events, McDonald’s has raised nearly $51 million! Believe me, your dollar makes a difference!
