Citing the fact a new school is about to open up nearby. the Regina Catholic School Board has decided to close down St. Andrew School at the end of the 2016-17 school year.
Rob Currie is the board’s director of education and he says the decision to close has the blessing of the parent community as kids will be transferred to the new St. Elizabeth School.
Currie says numbers show a solid majority of students currently attending St. Andrew will actually be closer to St. Elizabeth,
St. Andrew School was built in 1957 and has had numerous renovations done to it over the past few years.
