Harvard Broadcasting’s “Day of Caring” was an overwhelming success.
620 CKRM asked listeners to donate to the Canadian Red Cross for victims of the Fort McMurray fire.
Listeners truly came through and the Red Cross reports – on a national level – 12-million dollars was collected for the 80-thousand people displaced as a result of the fire.
Saskatchewan spokesperson Cindy Fuchs says it is heartwarming to see how Canadians have come through for those in need.
Fuchs says donations are always welcome so anyone having missed out yesterday is more than free to do so Friday.
The Red Cross is taking donations for the victims of the Fort McMurray fire. There are several ways to donate.
There is an online form to make donations simpler.
