The Fort McMurray wild fire poses no imminent threat to any Saskatchewan communities.
Government of Saskatchewan Officials say they have been monitoring the fires and, as of late Sunday morning, the fires are currently over 60 KM away from any Saskatchewan communities.
According to Steve Roberts, The Saskatchewan Executive Director of Wildfire Management, the province does have precautions in place.
Sprinklers have been put into place in the Northwestern part of Saskatchewan in case they are needed under short notice.
There is still significant smoke expected to affect air quality in Saskatchewan, specifically the Northwestern part.
People with heart and respiratory problems are at high risk.
