Some areas in the parched western Saskatchewan grainbelt have received rain.
Jim Wickett farms at Rosetown and received about 20 millimeters of moisture Monday.
He says the moisture lightens the mood of many farmers.
Wickett says the moisture will ensure good germination of his crop.
He hopes to be seeding again within a couple days and estimates 40 to 60 per-cent of planting is complete in his region.
Wickett is chair of the Western Canadian Wheat Growers association.
