For the first time since winning the provincial election on April 4, MLA’s will get back into the Legislature Tuesday for a spring session.
Before that session begins with a throne speech, those who were elected including Premier Brad Wall (pictured) were in the chamber on Monday to officially get sworn in by delivering an oath of allegiance.
After tomorrow’s throne speech, government members will get down to business with a budget coming on June 1.
Today’s oath was also historical as Mohammed Fiaz of the Saskatchewan Party officially became the first Muslim to be sworn in as an MLA.
The native of Pakistan won the seat in the new riding of Regina Pasqua on election night.
