Saskatchewan’s provincial parks are open for the season.
Thursday is opening day and the Victoria Day long weekend weather looks promising.
Parks spokesperson Mary-Ann Wihak says there are fire bans in effect and campers should be extremely cautious and respectful of fire – this weekend and each time visiting a campsite.

Wihak does remind those going to a park this weekend an alcohol ban is in effect.
She says there are fire restrictions in place and in some cases, parks could be under a precautionary drinking water advisory or have reduced services.
Wihak also reminds campers to check first to see if there are any other restrictions at your camping destination.
