A rather bizarre trial that has many talking in the province’s Northeast is getting underway in Prince Albert.
Curtis Vey of Wakaw and Angela Nicholson of Melfort are each charged with conspiracy to commit murder. The alleged victims were their spouses.
RCMP allege Vey and Nicholson were having an affair and decided to kill their spouses—one was to die in a house fire with the other of a drug overdose.
Vey’s wife learned of what was happening and informed RCMP.
The trial is expected to last two weeks.
