A ground-breaking ceremony was held Wednesday afternoon in Regina for the Foxvalley Family Housing Complex in Regina’s west-end.
The 3.8 million dollar, 14 unit complex on the 5500 block of Dewdney Avenue is aimed at providing support for families in transition with a safe, eco-friendly place to live.
The objective of the program is to keep children out of foster care and keep families together, while providing 24/7 support services.
Silversage Holdings Board Chair Edmund Bellegarde says this project will address a real need in the community as it will provide a safe place for families in transition, families who are in the process of re-establishing relationships with their children and need a safe, affordable place to live.
This partnership will see Silver Sage provide the building while Foxvalley Counseling Services will deliver the programming.
