Premier Brad Wall is again defending the 1.5 billion dollar carbon capture project at Boundary Dam in Estevan.
In the legislature, NDP critic Cathy Sproule says taxpayers are on the hook for a failed mega-project.
Premier Wall admitted the project did not meet expectations in the start-up year.
But this year, he says it is meeting expectations and will remove 800 thousand tons of carbon this year from the atmosphere.
Wall quoted the federal Environment minister as saying the opportunity for this technology is 50 trillion dollars in China alone.
