There aren’t many veteran Riders at training camp being held in Saskatoon as head coach and general manager Chris Jones has done basically a complete overhaul of the roster.
One veteran still around is receiver Rob Bagg. The Queen’s University product admitted Monday he feels like a rookie at this year’s camp and that he is approaching camp with a rookie like enthusiasm.
Jones has been impressed with Bagg saying he is giving the team exactly what was expected.
While Bagg is giving the team what was expected, second year receiver Naaman Roosevelt is also turning heads as he made several spectacular catches.
The team also made some roster moves Monday:
International defensive lineman Tony Criswell (6’8 – 250 – Missouri)
International running back Johnta Hebert (5’10 – 195 – Prairie View)
International defensive lineman Jonathan Newsome (6’3 – 247 – Ball State)
Did not participate:
Jorgen Hus (suspended – personal)
Spencer Moore (personal)
Eric Norwood (injured)
Xavier Walker (day-to-day)
National defensive back Kwame Adjei
International running back Malcom Cyrus
Camp continues in Saskatoon Tuesday morning at 9.
