I don’t care who you are…….everybody loves to sing and listen to music of some form or another from around the campfire.
I can’t tell you how many “Kumbaya’s” we sang around the fire pit back in the day. The human love for singing all started back when we had to forage for food. We had to band together in order to protect ourselves from predators or enemy tribes and that is just one of the reasons behind the evolutionary forces behind singing together around a campfire. On top of that, people who sing together experience the release of a chemical called Oxytocin…..and Oxytocin causes increased feelings of trust and makes you feel more socially bonded to those around you.
I also believe that if you like music, and your listening to it, that because of this chemical release you’re going to feel trustful and bond more with the artist who is singing. Why do you think commercial jingles are so successful. I could sing a hundred off the top of my memory.
