There is a tremendous amount of confidence being shown in Regina’s business sector about the future of the local economy.
Economic Development Regina is releasing its 3rd quarter report, and there is a very positive vibe to it.
44 business leaders were asked a variety of questions by Praxis Consulting and as spokesperson Valerie Sluth says, there is an optimistic outlook about what the future holds with 75 percent saying they expect Regina’s economy to perform at the same level over the next year which marks a dramatic change from the 1st quarter report when only half thought it would be the same.
When asked to identify what makes Regina business friendly, the answers given were the availability and reputation of post secondary programs, the corporate tax rate, and rail accessibility.
One thing business leaders do feel needs to happen is an urgent need to engage young talent to give them a voice that is fresh in the workplace.
