A potential grant for the Knox-Metropolitan United Church was discussed at the City’s Finance and Administration Committee meeting Tuesday.
The church needs restoration work done to its exterior walls, and City Administration is looking at a grant of 50-percent of the costs, or 30-thousand dollars.
City Councillor Shawn Fraser says when looking at heritage resources they need to be strategic and consistent.
30-thousand dollars will also be provided to the church by the Saskatchewan Heritage Foundation.
The recommendation will be forwarded to the City Council meeting at the end of the month.
