One of those people is Karen Hegglin, who says she’s concerned for the environment and her family’s future.
“The noise, pollution, dust, garbage, traffic, excess salt blowing causing damage to our farmland. This creates a loss of income, loss of wildlife, loss of wild-berry picking, and loss of our friends and neighbours.”
The group had reached out to Economy Minister Bill Boyd for a meeting, but the request was turned down.
They also met with their local MLA Glen Hart, but say the meeting on Tuesday evening was unsuccessful.
