Richardson International opened a multi-million dollar research farm east of Regina Wednesday.
Richardson’s president Curt Vossen says the 444 acre demonstration farm and training centre is a 15 million dollar investment in improving crop production.
He says the company will partner with other bio-science companies to develop improved crop varieties suited for Saskatchewan.
Richardson’s Bennett farm is being developed in three stages with the first stage virtually complete with machine shop and the first crop in the field.
Phase two includes a new regional office and phase three will see a large training and events centre.
Bennett farm is the companies second research facility.
Richardson operates a 500 acre research farm just south of Winnipeg.
