The University of Regina will play the University of Saskatchewan Huskies on October 1 at new Mosaic Stadium.
The game will be looking to reach 50-percent capacity – which is 16,500 seats – for the new stadium and will test the stadium’s capabilities such as the lights and the scoreboards.
While concessions, among other things, won’t be completed for the first test-event, there will be mobile concessions available at the game.
The City of Regina is confident they will sell all the tickets available for the game.
If they do sell-out, the game would break a CIS Canada West record for attendance.
The City of Regina will look for feedback from the public on the experience.
Flex packages go on sale Tuesday at 10 a.m.
Each flex package includes one ticket to the Oct. 1 game as well as an option to purchase up to three additional tickets during the pre-sale window.
Tickets for the general public will be available beginning Tuesday, July 26.
“We are thrilled to play our first game in our new home this season,” commented U of R Rams Vice President Chris Briltz. “This is a tremendous opportunity for our organization to showcase our product while making history alongside every other participant at new Mosaic Stadium.”
