Day one after vacation went well yesterday. It’s always nice to get that first day out of the way. The one thing I do not look forward to when I come back from vacation is going through all of the emails that accumulate after two weeks.
This time there were over 1000! 99% of those are crap, but I have to take my time to sift through them all to make sure I weed out the bad from the ones I actually need. That took the whole morning and I still missed some. One of those was from one of our sales staff alerting me to a new phone client on the Flea Market, which I didn’t realize I had deleted until a minute or so before I needed the info. Fortunately Gloria had the email and passed it to me just in time. Thanks Glo!
When you’re trying to go through 100 emails, I guess it’s easy to miss one or two. After a while they all start looking the same!
Thank you to the many who emailed me telling me they missed hearing me on the air and to “hurry back!” That’s always nice to hear. Most of those came from people I didn’t even know!
I know I deleted a few emails letting me know that I had inherited millions of dollars! I guess I should have given those a closer look. Maybe I wouldn’t be sitting here this morning!
Maybe next vacation I’ll hire some lackey to go through all of my emails for me. Anyone out there willing to do some grunt work for a coffee and a couple of doughnuts?
