One man is currently being investigated under the Criminal Code and the Animal Protection Act.
A petition has been started to urge the authorities to release the name of the suspect.
Many of social media took to the kitten’s cause and gave updates on its condition.
Some groups have started to organize, in order to gather funds for the kitten’s vet bills.
Kim Blevins with the Jamboree says organizers are disappointed with what happened to the cat, adding the man suspected in the incident was evicted from the camping area.
