Republicans have made reviving the Keystone X-L pipeline part of their official platform.
The 66-page document was officially adopted at the Republican National Convention in Cleveland on Monday.
The ill-fated project would have carried Alberta crude to U-S refineries, but was effectively quashed by President Barack Obama last fall.
Republicans accuse Obama of killing the project to satisfy environmentalists who support the Democratic party.
In Saskatchewan, Premier Brad Wall has shown consistent support for the project saying the pipeline would be the safest method to move oil within the country.
