The Saskatchewan Opportunities Corporation (SOCO) tabled its 2015-16 annual report on Tuesday morning.
The report highlighted achievements of the technology parks in Saskatoon and Regina.
SOCO owns and manages 1.7 million square feet of rent-able space including laboratories, greenhouses, offices and specialized space at the U of S and U of R campuses.
Since 2007, SOCO, which operates under the name Innovation Place, has helped establish 72 new private sector startups and of the 136 companies that began at Innovation Place, 97 are still operating here in the province.
In 2015-16 SOCO had a net income of $1.65 million dollars and was home to 10 new technology business startups.
